Exo Terra®’s Aztec Water Dish fits the ancient Pre-Columbian Aztec theme. The Aztec’s sacred garden Texcotzingo, dedicated to the rain god Tlaloc, featured a pool carved from solid rock. King Nezahualcoyotl’s private pool was supplied with fresh, clean water via an extensive system of aqueducts. The water from the aqueducts was also used to supply the workers and civilians with a sustainable amount of drinking water and to irrigate the Aztec’s sacred gardens. The presence of clean and fresh water is important for the proper care and maintenance of reptiles and amphibians. The Aztec Water Dish is easy to clean and the smooth non-porous surface will not absorb harmful bacteria. The shape of the Aztec Water Dish is especially designed to prevent it from being tipped over, and to avoid spilling water.
