The Exo Terra Calcarea Boxwood is an extremely realistic replica of its natural counterpart. Calcarea Boxwood (Buxus calcarea) is native to the subarid regions of Southwestern Madagascar. The Calcarea Boxwood creates a 3-dimensional habitat and increases dwelling space significantly. The stiff coriaceous leaves not only provide shade, but also create a visual barrier which lets your reptiles and amphibians experience an increased feeling of safety and reduced stress. Exo Terra’s artificial ground cover plants are easy to clean & maintain, while the weighted base allows you to easily position the plant after maintenance.
The Exo Terra Calcarea Boxwood is ideal for use in more ‘sterile’ set-ups (e.g. quarantine terrariums) or in those spots of the terrarium where live plants cannot thrive or survive.
